Pouch machines are essential in hospitals, central fill and pharmacies in order to provide patients in need with high quality unit dose or multi dose medication sachets.

The advantages of taking the right medication at the right time at the right dose is undisputed.  However, the amount of plastic based film widely used is not sustainable anymore. Millions of patients worldwide are provided with weekly blister rolls of about 2-3m in average.

Our goal was to find a film that is cellulose based, certified for home composting thus NOT polluting the environment forever.

The greenpillpouch is supposed to be compliant with existing pouch machines, is certified for home composting and food contact, has been tested to provide the stability of medication, does not cost the world but will help to protect it. Made in Europe, it is currently undergoing robust testing in selected central fill hubs.

We also noticed the additional plastic waste in form of cores. That too needs to change.
